Our Modern Slavery and
Human Trafficking Statement

Introduction

This statement sets out the steps we, Atnahs Pharma UK Ltd (“Atnahs”), have taken (1) to understand all the potential slavery risks related to our business; and (2) to ensure that there is neither slavery nor human trafficking in our own business or our supply chains.

This statement relates to our actions and activities during our financial year ended 31 March 2016 and thereafter.

We recognise that we have a responsibility to take a robust approach to slavery and human trafficking. We are absolutely committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in our corporate activities, and to ensuring that our supply chains are free from slavery and human trafficking. At all times, we seek to be vigilant, and to report and act upon any concerns raised by any of our stakeholders.

Our Organisational Structure

We are a pharmaceutical company and we hold licences to distribute pharmaceutical products in the UK and throughout the rest of the world.

Our Supply Chain

Our supply chain relates primarily to the procurement of pharmaceutical products and their components. We look to source from reputable and recognised organisations, vetting for suitability wherever practicable. We work ethically and work only with those who can demonstrate that they work in the same way.

Our Due Diligence

We undertake due diligence when taking on new suppliers, and regularly review our existing suppliers. Our scope includes:

  • mapping the supply chain to assess product or geographical risks of slavery and human trafficking;
  • reviewing on a regular basis all aspects of the supply chain based on the mapping; and
  • conducting supplier audits or assessments through our own staff as well as third party auditors. These audits have more focus on slavery and human trafficking where we identify higher levels of risk.

Our suppliers must demonstrate their commitment to ethical trading, and show that they understand and manage their own supply chains ethically.

Our Management Responsibility

We have briefed our senior management team on this legislation and our responsibilities as an organisation.

We continue to maintain open and honest communication across our supply chain so that we set a clear vision of our expectations and ensure compliance at all times.

We have polices and systems in place to support and protect whistle-blowers.
